Albanian Cultural Club
American University
The idea to form the Albanian Cultural Club arose from a shared experience among Albanian students at our university. We often encountered classmates who would respond with a look of curiosity and lack of awareness upon hearing about our backgrounds. This lack of knowledge of our homeland among our peers inspired us to take action. By forming this club, we aim to promote awareness and appreciation of Albania’s rich culture, history, and heritage within our university community. We wish to provide a platform for individuals interested in Albanian culture to connect and engage in meaningful cultural exchanges. Our goal is for this club to contribute to a more inclusive and tolerant university community, by dispelling any misconceptions and stereotypes about Albania, as well as by creating intercultural communication between our peers. We hope to enhance the cultural diversity of our campus by introducing students to the rich aspects of Albanian culture and we are open to all students.
