The purpose of this organization shall be to organize around issues prominent and important to the student community and the ACLU of DC, including but not limited to campus free speech, racial justice, voting rights, accessibility, and electoral politics. We will contextualize ACLU issues on campus and connect students with opportunities to contribute to impact litigation and civil liberties advocacy. ACLU is open to all students. American University student organizations shall not discriminate in membership or benefits on the basis of any individual’s personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
