The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a non-profit aiming to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. AFSP GW is a student group within the AFSP National Capital Area Chapter. AFSP has four main areas of focus: education, advocacy, research, and support for survivors of suicide loss. AFSP GW is a group of students dedicated to AFSP's mission. We work both on the GW campus and in the greater DC area to save lives and spread hope. By joining our organization, you too can play a crucial role in reducing a major public health issue. As a member of our organization you can partake in advocacy for suicide prevention policy, fundraising events, educational campaigns, and community bonding.
