We are a student chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Issues relating to Animal Law intersect with nearly every other field of law. We seek to expose students to the broad spectrum of these issues so that they may incorporate this awareness into their practice. Our mission is to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. We also just really love animals! We collaborate with other WCL groups to host joint events. We work closely with faculty and staff to bring animal friendly events to campus. We host speakers who work in the Animal Protection Field. Participation in our organization and its AUWCL events is open to all members of the AU community, regardless of background. Our events, programs, and activities are inclusive and do not restrict participation based on personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
