We use wargames to teach new skills and develop a deeper understanding of today’s global security environment. Many of the wargames we run are also used by the US national security enterprise to prepare its people to confront today’s threats. In addition to running wargames, we host conversations with subject matter experts and provide events access to conversations with the US’ national security leaders. Some of the people that we have previously brought to campus include the Vice Commander of SOCOM, the Director of HSI, and the Director of the US Marshals Service. What is wargaming? Wargaming is a simulation activity that helps professionals and students prepare by simulating real-world situations at the strategic and tactical levels. Wargames do this by creating a structured environment that provides feedback on how specific actions impact the operating environment and influence outcomes. Through iterative gameplay, users can improve their decision-making skills, better understand the operating environment, and improve strategies.
