The Balkan Students Association was founded to address the lack of Balkan cultural representation on campus, creating a space for students to connect, celebrate, and share their heritage. Our mission is to preserve cultural traditions, raise awareness of our presence, and foster a strong sense of belonging for underrepresented students. We aim to build a community where members celebrate their heritage, form meaningful connections, and make Balkan culture more visible on campus. Educationally, we share knowledge about the region’s history, cultures, and current affairs through events, discussions, and guest speakers who also provide academic and professional insight. Socially and culturally, we create opportunities for friendships, celebrations, and cultural activities, ensuring a vibrant network for current and future students. Our long-term goal is to offer new students a welcoming environment where they can connect, find guidance, and take pride in their identity.
