About Barristers’ Council
Barristers’ Council is Georgetown University Law Center’s student-run advocacy competition organization. It trains and fields teams in appellate advocacy, trial advocacy, and alternative dispute resolution competitions. Membership is earned through in-house competitions rather than academic record, and the council does not charge student membership dues. It is part of Georgetown Law’s activities and organizations offerings, and is distinct from similarly named groups at other schools because this page is specific to Georgetown Law.
