The Long Beach City College Biology/Biophilia Club is an academic club dedicated to teaching students about the natural world and engaging them to feel more connected to nature. Our efforts serve not only students of color, but the majority as well, by being inclusive and informative. Our efforts will benefit the biosphere and improve the state of the community (Long Beach). Our club is educational, cultural, biological, and recreational in nature. In particular, issues that the Biology/Biophilia Club will address include: establishing racial equity on campus, exposing students to the hardships of different POC groups, sharing ways for people to incorporate positive environmental change in their everyday lives.
