The Biology Graduate Student Council (BGSC) at The George Washington University isa professional and social organization affiliated with the GWU Department of BiologicalSciences. BGSC works to promote community and betterment of working and learningconditions for graduate students of all department-affiliated graduate academic programs throughsocial gatherings, attending faculty meetings, advocating for student needs, and otherinterdisciplinary events. BGSC provides an inclusive environment for students to share concerns,connect over shared interests, and create social events, all while giving graduate studentsin the Biological Sciences Department a voice in their education.
