The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) at American University Washington College of Law is committed to raising awareness about the legal needs of the Black community and fostering an inclusive community. We aim to sensitize legal professionals, inform our members and the public on significant legal developments, and encourage meaningful change through professional competence, accountability, and leadership. Participation in our organization and its AUWCL events is open to all members of the AU community, regardless of background. Our events, programs, and activities are inclusive and do not restrict participation based on personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
