The Black Student Association (BSA) was founded in 2022. Most meetings take place in the Fisher Building but keep an eye on Ivy Life for monthly meeting locations. If you are looking for an organization that strives to help Black students grow their network, persevere in classes, advance, and graduate then you’ve found it! In addition to this, BSA aims to develop stronger connections, and collaboration among Black students, faculty, staff, and all organizations on campus. The mission of BSA is to aid in the growth and development of Ivy Tech students through a series of culturally, socially, and academically focused activities. Our mission is fulfilled through community service, campus involvement, and professional development, to equip and prepare our students for life beyond Ivy Tech. BSA aims to develop and promote unity within the minority community and intensify the Black voice here at this university. All programs and activities sponsored by BSA are free to Ivy Tech students. Becoming a member of the Black Student Association can provide you with a wide array of opportunities while you are taking classes. You do not have to be Black/African American or of African descent to be a member of BSA. Everyone is welcome to attend!
