The Boston College Club Field Hockey team competes in the National Field Hockey League. During the fall season (September to November), the team practices for two hours, two times per week, usually on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Competition during the fall season includes several matches against local, New England teams and hopefully the national tournament in Virginia Beach. In the off-season in the spring, the team may participate in local scrimmages. Boston College Club Field Hockey is a competitive, student-run program. Our team welcomes players (both men and women) of all levels and backgrounds, although we encourage strong field hockey skills and knowledge of the game for tryouts. Tryouts are typically held early in September after Student Activities Day when students have the chance to sign up for clubs.
