The Men’s Hockey Club at Boston College strives to fill the void of competitive hockey at the sub-varsity level by providing a dedicated hockey experience in a highly competitive environment. There exists a great number of talented and dedicated hockey players who come to BC because of the atmosphere provided by the varsity team, that do not have the opportunity to play at the D1 level here or at the D3 level elsewhere. It is these students, who have chosen a better education at Boston College over playing junior hockey or playing hockey at a below average academic institution, that the club team wishes to provide with the opportunity to continue competing in serious athletics. We are confident that a group of these students will compete successfully at the highest level possible within the American Collegiate Hockey Association, while also promoting an ethos of camaraderie, excellence, and integrity throughout the team and demonstrating academic success in the classroom. As a student-run organization, each member will sacrifice a great deal of time and energy in order to succeed at both the individual and team levels. As young men devoted to the love of hockey, the Men’s Club Hockey team is a serious group of student-athletes dedicated to the success of each other, as well as the entire BC community. The Club Ice Hockey program has quickly risen to prominence in the Club Hockey world and has gained respect by being able to compete with perennial powerhouses while demonstrating class and maintaining high academic standards.
