The goal of the Business and Philosophy club is to enrich students entering the business world through the virtue of understanding and a cultivated desire for the true, the good, and the beautiful. This expresses itself through multiple means: the first is through participation in interesting and engaging discussions lead by the foremost minds in both business and philosophy; the second is easily available advice, mentorship, and community; the third is giving students the opportunity to pursue their desired paths and to learn what their vocations may be. The study of philosophy and business together gives one not only a set of skills to use as if they were tools in a toolbox, but rather skills to be used in tandem with a contemplative, constantly expanding mind. A set of chisels does not a sculptor make; rather, it is both the drive of an intentionally sustained state of wonder and the right set of tools that allows one to create well. This dual major is a comprehensive way to give a student the widest possible range of options for their career as well as the best possible way of approaching work once they pursue it.
