The Center for Language Exploration Acquisition and Research (CLEAR) offers free language learning services to current American University students. Whether a student is enrolled in a language course through the college or he or she desires to learn another language, all are welcome to explore and take advantage of what CLEAR has to offer. Currently we have language coaches in 13 different languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swahili. The majority of our language coaches are native speakers. However, we do have some language coaches that learned through taking courses and study abroad experiences.
