El Centro was founded in an effort to be a home away from home for those who identify with Central American culture and or countries (El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, and Honduras) as well as those who wish to inverse themselves in the culture. At El Centro we not only want to provide academic and emotional support but to be a club where we value our indigenous roots and give back to the greater community as our homelands do. We wish to celebrate our food, music, customs, and traditions to emphasize our overlooked culture at Boston College.
