The Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA) subscribes to the regulations and policies of American University. The purpose of this organization shall be to (1) serve Chinese students and scholars and students interested in our mission in the American University as well as to promote communication as well as develop friendship among the members of the association as a non-profit organization; (2) provide opportunities for the AU communities and DMV area universities to acquire knowledge concerned with Chinese culture and society by means of its cultural performance and contact with the local community; (3) to cooperate with other international student and scholar organizations when necessary. American University student organizations shall not discriminate in membership or benefits on the basis of any individual’s personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Open to all students.
