To have the needs and concerns of the graduate students addressed, we form the College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Student Council, hereafter referred to as CAS GSC. This entails establishing a unified representative voice, influencing the decision-making process of the College of Arts and Sciences, promoting academic excellence, improving the overall educational and social experience, and facilitating communication among administration, departments, and students within the College of Arts and Sciences at American University. All CAS graduate students of American University, required to pay a graduate student fee, are represented by the CAS GSC and shall be considered non-voting members, hereafter referred to as the CAS graduate student body.
