Compass: Impact Consulting at GW consists of students who serve as advisors to social enterprises and non-profits seeking funding from Impact Investors. Impact Investing is a rapidly growing field in which investors deploy capital investments to secure financial and social returns. The gap between investment capital and investment-ready projects is a common challenge facing the Impact Investing space. Compass’s mission is to advance and maximize social impact through the development of partnerships, collaboration, and accountability and measurement frameworks. The organization will function as an advisory service for projects that were unable to receive government funding and will undergo a capacity and proposal-building process in order to attain capital from an impact investor.
