CUA Gaels is committed to the celebration of Irish culture within the University and within the broader community. Our club has 2 branches open for anybody to participate: Celtic Cardinals Irish Dance Team- Our dance team is open to anybody who wants to dance, regardless of ability or experience! Dancers compete at intercollegiate festivals, as well as perform regularly around campus, and around the D.C. area! Cultural and Language Events- Here at CUA, we are so blessed to have an Irish program within our Department of Modern Languages! The Irish faculty members work with the CUA Gaels members to host events throughout the year that celebrate Irish language and culture, open to the entire campus community. In the past, these events have included céilís, Irish trivia pub quizzes, and various Irish presentations. Our club members are always working hard to make each year full of new and exciting events! The Modern Languages department also offers an annual study abroad program in Ireland, which consistently proves a very popular choice among CUA students!
