DECA, originally known as the Distributive Education Clubs of America, is a career and technical student organization (CTSO) founded in 1946. DECA prepares students for careers in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship through hands-on learning, leadership development, and competitive events that apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations. The organization serves over 300,000 members worldwide, with chapters in high schools and colleges across the United States and countries including Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Mexico, Poland, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Vietnam.
