Food Recovery Network
George Washington University
The GW Food Recovery Network focuses on eliminating food waste and hunger by collecting foods that would otherwise be wasted from GW-related and external events and restaurants. That food is donated to shelters or redistribution centers in order to feed people who are in need. Members of FRN undergo food safety training and work together bring the salvaged food to its final destination. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, WATCH THIS TRAINING VIDEO VIDEO and COMPLETE THIS QUIZ! Once you are finished with this, send an email to gwufrn@gmail.com with your full name and a screenshot of your completed quiz. This is so we can verify that all of our volunteers have watched the video and are ready to safely recover food.
