Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), otherwise known as Doctor Without Borders, is an international medical humanitarian organization that provides care for people across the globe affected by issues such as conflict, famine, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters. Friends of MSF (FoMSF) is a student-led chapter devoted to supporting the efforts of Médecins Sans Frontières. FoMSF aims to raise awareness for MSF campaigns by educating students on global health issues and the responses to such issues. This is achieved through activities such as speaker events, film screenings, organized discussions, and advocacy campaigns. Additionally, FoMSF aims to support MSF through the establishment of fundraisers in support of MSF's work. Participation in FoMSF provides an opportunity to actively contribute to the pursuits of MSF and gain valuable insight into the field of humanitarian aid. Membership is free and open to all GW students interested in joining.
