Future Teachers Organization (FTO) Welcome to the Future Teachers Organization (FTO)! �� We’re a friendly, inclusive community of students who share a passion for education, leadership, and making a positive difference in the lives of others. Whether you’re studying Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary Education—or just love the idea of helping others learn—FTO is the perfect place to grow, connect, and be inspired. Our mission is to empower future educators through hands-on experiences, professional development, and meaningful connections. Members have the chance to attend workshops, teacher panels, community service projects, and leadership events that build confidence and prepare you for success in and beyond the classroom. FTO also serves as a bridge between Ivy Tech’s Education Department and the next generation of teachers. We offer opportunities to connect with faculty, guest speakers, and peers who are already making an impact in education. But most of all, FTO is about community and support. We celebrate each other’s goals, share encouragement, and remind every future teacher that they’re not on this journey alone. From volunteer events and study sessions to leadership retreats and fun get-togethers—there’s always something happening in FTO!
