GWFBA is a creative and professional hub on campus blending passions for fashion and business. Students involved get a chance to explore career paths within the fashion, beauty and entertainment industries through three realms: visual content, written content, and event planning. At FBA's core is GEORGE -our student-produced annual publication. GEORGE features local business highlights, current events, and trends in fashion, it amplifies student voices and is shared university-wide. Throughout the year, we host fashion-related events such as speakers series (Rachel Zoe, Ivan Bart, and Katie Welch,CMO of Rare Beauty), pop-up shops on campus (By Lil Bikinis), and local shopping events (Glossier). Our Core Values: Creativity: to continuously understand when and where fashion can be woven into life regardless of intended major, we push ourselves and our work to question and examine fashion from the nation’s capital Collaboration: we believe that the fusion of diverse perspectives enhances our collective potential and invite any student from any school in any major to join Professional Development: through networking events, career workshops, and industry partnerships, we enable our members to leverage their passion for fashion into tangible opportunity Education: we are nothing if we are not what we come to GW for, we are committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities that equip our members with a comprehensive understanding of both the fashion and business Community: we cultivate a tight-knit and supportive community, FBA serves as a platform for building lifelong friendships, mentorship connections, and a shared appreciation form fashion
