Welcome! We are the GW University Singers, a mixed choir of GW undergraduate and graduate students! We're a non-audition-based choir catering to a variety of skill levels, aiming to foster community among the student body through music and art. We are a semester-based choir that meets once a week for a couple of hours, preparing for our concerts! University Singers meets Wednesday nights from 7:15 - 9:45 and performs a few times through the semester. It is conducted by professors Erin Freeman, Jeff Kempskie, and Julie Tucker and organized by a student leadership team. In past years, we've gone on tour overseas, with destinations including the Baltic, South America, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and South Africa. In the DMV area, we've had the opportunity to sing at amazing venues like the Washington National Cathedral, Strathmore Concert Hall, Schlesinger Performing Arts Center, and The Kennedy Center Concert Hall.
