Ghanaian Student Organization
Boston College
Our mission is to create an inclusive and empowering community for Ghanaian students at Boston College, where we celebrate our culture, support one another, and foster connections that uplift and inspire us on campus and beyond. We strive to build a vibrant Ghanaian community that fosters servitude, unity, and cultural pride while encouraging students to grow as leaders and scholars. In addition, we are committed to increasing the presence of Ghanaian students at Boston College by serving as a resource during the application process and helping future students see BC as a home for their growth and success. The Ghanaian Student Organization also seeks to enrich the broader BC community by hosting cultural events, dialogues, and collaborations that highlight Ghana's unique history, traditions, and contemporary contributions. In this way, we align with Boston College’s Jesuit Catholic mission of forming men and women for others, promoting intellectual growth, and fostering service to others. Our dedication to service, leadership, and cultural pride reflects the Jesuit values of caring for the whole person, building community, and advancing justice. We believe that through service, cultural celebration, and leadership, our organization will not only strengthen the bonds among Ghanaian students but also foster understanding, unity, and inspiration throughout the Boston College community, fully embracing the call to live out BC’s mission in both faith and action.
