Founded in 2017, GW Folklorico began with a mission of carving out a space for traditional Latin-American dance at our university. Since then the purpose has expanded to create an inclusive environment where students of all backgrounds can be immersed in Latin culture through dance. Step by step, the organization continues the work to both preserve decades-old traditions while broadening the stage to new generations and audiences across the DMV.
