The Health Law and Policy Program at American University Washington College of Law is ranked top 15 in Health Care Law by U.S. News & World Report and as a top school for health law by PreLaw Magazine. Our Program is at the forefront of preparing students to embrace meaningful careers in the dynamic field of health law and compliance. With a focus on practice-oriented education, we provide extensive opportunities to engage in real-world experiential learning including internships, our Health Care Compliance Certificate (accredited by the Compliance Certification Board), publishing opportunities with our Health Law & Policy Brief, participation in national competitions, and more. Our faculty are experts across health law domains, including health equity, reproductive health, food and drug, bioethics, compliance, fraud and abuse, liability, and pharmaceutical patents. Beyond the classroom, our innovative programming brings together practitioners and scholars across the nation to examine trends, challenges, and opportunities in the continually shifting healthcare landscape.
