The purpose of this club shall be to bring together students of Hellenic and Cypriot descent as well as students interested in Hellenic and Cypriot culture who are eager to learn more about Hellenic culture, history, and role in today’s world. Through activities and social/cultural events around the DMV area, this club hopes to express the values of Hellenism and share it with others. This association will promote current political and cultural events in the Eastern Mediterranean and will educate the community on the history of the region. This club will advocate for Greek/Cypriot issues here in the U.S., as well as serve the community through certain events and volunteering. This organization is open to all students. The Hellenic and Cypriot Student Association shall not discriminate in membership or benefits on the basis of any individual’s personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
