Howard University Transfer Student Association (HUTSA), founded in 2003, aims to ease the matriculation process for transfer students at Howard University. We aim to create both social and academic programs so that transfer students will have a smooth entrance into Howard. HUTSA's purpose is to enhance the orientation of transfer students so that they transition smoothly into “true” Bison. Through the dissemination of information about Howard University and the sponsoring of fun and innovative programs, HUTSA has played a role in assisting transfer students with issues related to their identity as members of the Howard University family. We believe that our service provides a necessary foundation that gives transfer students the courage to pursue their vision with confidence and deliberateness. Howard University, was not your first choice but your BEST choice!
