About Interfraternity Council
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the umbrella organization that oversees all 9 men's social fraternities at The George Washington University. While these chapters have different histories, distinguishing characteristics, and members, they all share the central tenets of Fraternity and Sorority Life at GW: scholarship, service, active leadership, accountability, and community. The IFC is governed by an Executive Council and a board consisting of each of the 9 IFC chapter presidents.
