Inventio is the multidisciplinary undergraduate research journal of Catholic University.  It aims to identify, publish, and share original undergraduate research that represents the university's commitment to the academic and Catholic traditions that inform its mission to "discover and impart the truth."  The journal is run and published by students under the guidance of faculty advisors, and submissions of research in the humanities, theology, philosophy, the arts, and the social sciences written by current students or within two years of their graduation are accepted.  The journal also features the research of first year students with a special section entitled "The Best of FYE" that includes the winners of the Phi Beta Kappa Essay Awards.   Students can become involved with Inventio by submitting their original research projects which undergo a double blind review by the Faculty Advisory Board and then a second double blind review by the Student Editorial Board, which makes the final selections for each issue.  Students can also become involved with the journal by applying to serve on the Student Editorial Board in a variety of positions ranging from Copyeditor and Layout Editor to Managing Editor and Web Editor.   If you want to get involved with the journal or learn more about our mission and work, we encourage you to visit our website and subscribe to our newsletter or to email any of our Student Editorial Board members.
