The GW Iranian Students Association (IRSA) is a cultural, social, and educational organization. IRSA's mission is to provide members a space to meet other students interested in the Persian language and culture and to build a stronger presence within the GW community and the greater DMV Iranian community. IRSA aims to promote Persian culture by hosting social gatherings, movie nights, and cultural events such as Persian New Year (Norooz); attending cultural events in the DMV; and collaborating with other Student Organizations on campus as well as Iranian Student Organizations at universities in the DMV area.
