ABOUT US: “Juris Mentem,” translating to “Legal Mind,” is the name of American University’s student-run Law Journal overseen by the School of Public Affairs. Juris Mentem seeks to provide students with the opportunity to improve their legal research and writing abilities through our biannual publication. As a community, Juris Mentem is charged with providing students an opportunity to learn and practice the ability to engage in scholarly legal discourse. We seek to connect the student body to essential professional resources, experts, and knowledge. Through our organization, we intend to provide a space for students to be excited about the current state and future of the legal profession.
