Kesem at GW
George Washington University
Kesem at The George Washington University is a non-profit organization completely run by passionate GW student leaders that provides a year-round support network and free summer camp for children coping with a parent's cancer in the DC Area. Through Kesem, our campers are given the opportunity to build their self-esteem, be surrounded by a peer support network, and learn they are not alone as they face their parent's cancer. Our flagship program, Camp Kesem, is a 1-week sleepaway camp in Maryland that takes place in August annually and is completely free of charge for the families we serve.
