The Korean International Scholar Association aims to bring together traveling scholars from South Korea and non-Korean scholars at American University. Along with traditional South Korean linguistic and cultural spread to the campus, this club aims to bridge together students who are interested in learning and experiencing South Korean philosophy, ethics, social justice movements, advocacy, and awareness that comes from the heritage of its people. And, we are opened to all students. Our club aims to celebrate South Korean traditional values and culture while providing educational experiences and most importantly, focusing on awareness and advocating in depth to give a scholarly lens to all who are participating in our club events. We vow to uphold an inclusive and tolerant environment, understanding the diverse culture that constitutes greater South Korean backgrounds. American University student organizations shall not discriminate in membership or benefits on the basis of any individual’s personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
