The purpose of the club is to... 1) Expand our knowledge of sociology. 2) Help students network with others and create professional relationships.3) Provide community service, locating and assisting communities in need through volunteerism and community organizing.4) Learn and share literature, research methods, and advancements in the field of sociology, and to develop students’ critical analysis of current events and issues of interest to ensure the success of the students’ future professions. 5) Conduct original research and gather data that will help the club learn more about LBCC and the Greater Long Beach Area.
