The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) at American University is a student organization committed to advancing the civil rights, educational access, and community empowerment of Latinx students and their allies. Founded nationally in 1929, LULAC is the oldest and largest Latinx civil rights organization in the United States. LULAC is open to all students. Our chapter seeks to build an inclusive and supportive space for all students, Latinx and non-Latinx, who are passionate about equity, leadership, and social justice. We welcome students from all backgrounds to join us in advocating for positive change, uplifting Latinx voices, and fostering opportunities for growth through service, cultural celebration, and civic engagement. Whether you're looking to connect with community, learn more about Latinx heritage, or work toward meaningful advocacy, LULAC is a place where your voice and contributions matter.
