Milken por la Salud is a student-led organization of Latine students and allies who are committed to serving the Latine community through education, advocacy, and solidarity. As public health needs are not restricted to English-speaking communities, members will have the opportunity to learn, practice, and engage in Spanish with a focus on health and wellness. By developing our Spanish skills, we will be able to better serve members of the community whose social determinants include having a language barrier. Our aim is to create more conscientious and culturally aware public health professionals while promoting health among Spanish-speaking and Latine communities.
