The purpose of the American University NAACP College Chapter shall be to advance the political, educational, social, and economic status of people to eliminate prejudice, to keep the public aware of the adverse effects of discrimination, and to take all lawful action to ensure its elimination consistent with NAACP and American University efforts and guidelines. The NAACP is open to ALL people. American University student organizations shall not discriminate in membership or benefits on the basis of any individual’s personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
