Everyone can get involved and we need YOUR help make our campus a greener, healthier, and more sustainable place for everyone. GET INVOLVED Volunteer with the EcoRep Program to promote sustainability and inspire personal behavior change across campus. Become certified through the EcoPledge Program, earn prizes, and commit to taking sustainable action on campus and beyond. Intern with us and help advance the goals in AU's sustainability plan. Properly sort your waste into AU's landfill, recycling, and compost bins. Join an environmental student organization. FIVE FAST FACTS AU was the first university in the U.S to achieve carbon neutrality. AU has divested all public fossil fuel investments from its endowment. AU offers campus-wide composting as part of our Zero Waste program. All 84 acres of AU’s campus is an accredited arboretum. In 2021, AU released a new five-year sustainability plan for campus.
