Pacific Islander Student Association (PISA) at Long Beach City College believes in the empowerment of Pasifika people through continued education. We aim to promote success in Pacific Islander-identifying students. At its core, PISA believes in the importance of cultural expression and self-advocacy, which we aim to promote in members of our club. Most importantly, PISA is a space for students to enjoy themselves in the company of others who are on similar journeys as them. Through this shared ancestry of culture, similar academic goals and woes, and other compatibility factors, we believe that creating a community for Pasifika students and allies will benefit members' college experience.
