Pre-Physician Assistant Society of Boston College
Boston College
The Pre-Physician Assistant Society of Boston College is a club entirely dedicated to providing resources and guidance to undergraduate students interested in exploring/pursuing careers as physician assistants. The Pre-PA Society of Boston College will continue to host numerous panels with insight from PA students, working PAs, and PA school admission representatives. We will continue to implement a mentorship program within the club to pair upperclassmen mentors with underclassmen mentees for individual pre-PA support on campus. Additionally, we will inform students on the PA school CASPA application, advise students on planning PA prerequisite courses at Boston College, send out monthly newsletters, and provide opportunities for undergraduates to explore the field by shadowing PAs and gaining direct patient care hours. The current President and Co - Vice Presidents continue to work closely with Erin Curley (Assistant Director of Pre-Health Programs) and Lynn Dibenedetto (Professor of Human Anatomy and Physiology) to establish a greater awareness and provide adequate resources to pre-Physician Assistant students at Boston College. The PA profession is quickly rising in popularity and, as of 2025, is ranked as the #3 Best Overall Job by US News and World Reports. Subsequently, undergraduate interest in physician assistant graduate school is greatly increasing at Boston College. We aim to provide the best support to Boston College students in exploring the Physician Assistant path.
