Selah ‘Selah’ is an ancient Hebrew word. It is unable to be defined by Hebrew scholars but may equate to the word ‘pause’. It represents a period in which the individual pauses to develop and articulate perspective. With many different complex meanings and interpretations, our hope is to engrave this word to carry the meaning of an intentional and conscious pause for reflection. Impact We are eager to create a community to enrich Howard’s diverse campus. Selah Poets aims to empower and connect creatives to equip them with the tools to communicate their work in professional spaces. We hope you are able to join us as we host General Body Meetings, "General Lounge Sessions", open mics, workshops, service events, and so much more!
