The Ivy Tech Community College Student Government Association (SGA) Presidents Council was established in the Fall of 2011. The Council consists of one student representative from each campus, typically the Student Government Association President. Presidents Council members represent the students from their elected campus. The Presidents Council, as a whole, serves as the voice of the student body and the liaison between students, faculty and administration, to assist in development of better educational standards and student environment at Ivy Tech Community College. Membership on the Ivy Tech SGA Presidents’ Council is a prestigious role. Individuals in this role are expected to represent Ivy Tech positively on and off campus in both their work at the College and in the greater community. Presidents’ Council members should serve the College, demonstrate a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude, and maintain behavior that is characteristic of good citizenship. Membership on the Presidents’ Council is a serious responsibility and should be treated as such.
