Mission: The mission of Society of Women Engineers is to provide enriching opportunities to empower, inspire, support women throughout their engineering education and career endeavors at Boston College. SWE aims to empower women to feel a sense of belonging in engineering-related fields and to embrace the unique skills women bring to them in hopes of establishing engineering as a highly desirable profession for women. Vision: Our vision is to establish the foundation for a future where gender parity is a reality in engineering and technology fields. We strive to create a long lasting generational impact in hopes of a future where women can look into every profession and see themselves belonging in them. Description: As a member of SWE, students will have the opportunity to build community, expand their network with professionals in the engineering industry, and participate in service events to inspire young girls to pursue STEM fields. Through an array of workshops with guest speakers, collaborative hands-on activities, reflection, service, and more, club members will engage in enriching experiences to empower engineers to collectively use their voice to make an impact in engineering and technology sectors.
