The Student Business Consortium (SBC) at Boston College is dedicated to providing undergraduates with hands-on learning experiences that go beyond the classroom. Our mission is to foster practical knowledge through the annual M&A Case Competition. This competition exposes students to key investment banking topics such as mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, and valuation, while also sharpening their research and business presentation skills. SBC is committed to offering students a pathway to apply their academic learning in real-world scenarios. Participants work on the project for leading companies, with select teams traveling to New York City to present their findings to industry professionals. Through this experience, students gain valuable insight into the day-to-day work of investment bankers and develop essential skills needed in the field. The club is open to all undergraduates at Boston College, with a particular focus on underclassmen interested in exploring a career in investment banking. We believe in the philosophy of ‘learning by doing,’ empowering our members to build a strong foundation for their future careers.
