Summer Registration Registration for Summer classes begins on March 15 of each year and continues through the schedule adjustment period of each session. Students are encouraged to register as soon as possible for all sessions. Decisions on course cancellations are based on early enrollment figures. (If you don't sign up early, your class may NOT be there later!) Whether you are already enrolled as a CUA student, visiting from another college, an international visitor, a precollege student, or a working professional, this page will help you find all the information you need to plan to participate in Catholic University's Summer Sessions. Currently Enrolled CUA Students Undergraduate and graduate students of The Catholic University of America do not submit an application for Summer Sessions. We recommend the follow steps to register for summer courses: Review summer course schedule Consult with your advisor to select summer courses Enroll for summer courses Pay your tuition bill Students Visiting from other Colleges The Catholic University of America welcomes applications from men and women of character, intelligence and motivation, regardless of race, creed, sex, ethnic background or disabilities. You are eligible to apply for summer courses if you are in good academic standing at your resident college or university. Complete the online application. Submit either: A transcript from the school you presently attend, or last attended; or A signed letter by a designated official in your school indicating that you are in good standing. The application cannot be completely processed unless it is accompanied by the nonrefundable application fee. You can pay on-line, or send a check to the Office of Summer Sessions. Once you submit your application, you are responsible for the application fee. Students who are currently attending another college or university are urged to obtain the written permission of their dean or academic adviser to ensure that the credits earned at The Catholic University of America may be transferred. If you have attended Catholic University's Summer Sessions within the last past two years as a visiting student, please re-apply using our online application. Students who have attended through the Consortium must fill out a new visiting student application. You may obtain this form from the Enrollment Services Office. International Students The Catholic University of America is a globally engaged university with a dynamic Centre for Global Education which provides a variety of support services for international students. Most international students who are in the US are eligible to take summer courses without changing their nonimmigrant status. You are eligible to apply for summer courses if you are in good academic standing at your resident college or university. Students must have demonstrated proof of English language proficiency. We recommend the following steps to enroll at our University for the summer term: Complete the online application. Submit either: A transcript from the school you presently attend, or last attended; Minimum required TOEFL scores or IELTS equivalents: 80 (Internet-based exam) • 230 (computer-based exam) • 550 (paper-based exam) The application cannot be completely processed unless it is accompanied by the nonrefundable application fee. You can pay on-line, or wire payment to the Office of Summer Sessions. Once you submit your application, you are responsible for the application fee. Admissions Confirmation - Visiting Students Once your application is processed and you are admitted, you will be eligible to register or change your course registration on Cardinal Station. Please notify the office in writing if you need help with adjusting your course registration. If you fail to withdraw from any class, you will be charged full tuition and related fees, whether or not you attend the class. The Office of Summer Sessions will mail an admissions and registration confirmation letter that will include directions on how to obtain your user name, password, and directions for accessing your schedule and grades on the Web.
