Welcome to the Profile of CUA WRFC! If you are looking at our page, hopefully you are interested in becoming part of this great team! Women's rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and has a very strong community in the DMV area. CUA WRFC was founded in 2001 and has been a mainstay on the Catholic University campus. Most rugby players start playing in college, so all experience levels are welcome! Most of the women on the team didn't even know what rugby was until they came to college. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive organization that fosters player growth, both on the field and off. We compete in the National Collegiate Rugby organization and compete against other local clubs. In the spring the team travels to the Beast of the East tournament in Rhode Island, the largest collegiate rugby tournament in the country. If you are interested in joining, or even just watching a game or practice to see what rugby is all about, you definitely should!! Rugby is an amazing sport that will challenge you to do your best, and a great way to meet new people you will soon call your family!
